Started by Tommy Irwin Snr. a painter & decorator since 1956, on 8/8/88 in Wishaw, North Lanarkshire.

Due to ill health Tommy retired in 2006 leaving the running of Rainbow Decor to his son, also Tommy.

Tommy Jnr. started his apprenticeship straight out of school and has been providing a second to none level of service for 34 years and counting. 



He did not serve his apprenticeship with Rainbow Decor as his father wanted him to learn the trade 'the hard way' and has worked with several companies in several countries before taking over the helm.



He started painting commissioned murals and advertising boards in 1982 at the age of 12 after being approached by a local bookmakers to paint two 5' x 4' advertising boards for there shop for which he received the grand sum of £50. which was a lot of money for a 12 year old in those days.
